The steam mop is a new way of cleaning that is effective and far more hygienic than
conventional methods; the steam mop achieves a high degree of hygiene, and increases
cleansing power by converting water into steam using a polyester floor cloth which
enhances absorbency when contact is made with floor surfaces. Dirt and grime can be
eliminated in a matter of seconds since the mop uses the active power of steam without
the use of detergents or soap, making it environmentally friendly.
The Terratek Steam Cleaner has been designed to ensure a tight fit of the cleaning pad
which prevents any steam escaping, all steam is directed through the cleaning pad onto
the surface to be cleaned.
When used correctly this mop can kill dust mites and some types of bacteria. To disinfect
a specific area, position the steamer over the area for a minimum of eight seconds, the
steam temperature will reach too approximately 90-100ºC (194-212˚F).
Use this procedure to disinfect floors in bathrooms, showers, around kitchen counters,
pet sleeping quarters, etc., but not on hardwood floors.

The mop function is designed to thoroughly clean floor surfaces, such as marble, ceramic,
stone, linoleum, sealed hardwood floors and parquet.
The steam cleaner function is also designed to thoroughly clean windows and can be used
to remove creases from fabrics.

For use on fabrics, ALWAYS check the manufacturers care label before use.
Use on a low steam setting and hold away from the fabric.  Do not hold the steam cleaner
in one position on the fabric.

WARNING:

On surfaces that have been treated with wax, the wax may be removed by the

heat and steam action. Do not use on unsealed wood floors or let unit stand on any wood
floor for an extended period of time, this could cause the wood grain to lift. When using on
vinyl, linoleum or any other heat sensitive floors, use extra caution, too much heat can melt
down glue in the flooring, it is recommended that a sample cleansing be done on an inco-
nspicuous area of the floor, it is also recommended that you check the use and care
instructions of the surface from the floor manufacturer to ensure suitability to steam cleaning.
This steam mop uses tap water, if you live in areas with hard water, you should use distilled
water for better performance.
