C.A.R. 4000 (English)
Recording from an external source.
The function is hidden in the
Beginner
user level. Please increase the level when you feel rela-
tively secure working with the device—but of course it's not magic.

You also have the option of recording from external sources to be able to use the C.A.R. 4000
as a universal recording device. The following inputs are available for this

2 analog line inputs (see page 10)
·
1 stereo microphone input (or 2 mono inputs—see page 10)
·
1 optical digital input (see page 12)
First:
you must first have the right cables to be able to record from the audio inputs (line-in
1/2, MIC, digital-in). See the above-mentioned pages for more information.
The full level.
To open the control window from which you start recording, first make sure that
you are on the hard disk (HDD).
Press the record button on the C.A.R. 4000 and this window will open. Once you are in the
recording window, the analog input signal for monitoring will be sent to the output.
The source.
Now rotate the wheel and scroll through all possible inputs in sequence.
ASD.
Now press the down button once; you can move the small pointer left and right with the
wheel. It marks the threshold limit. The recording begins when it is exceeded. We refer to this
