Instructions for changing the
germicidal tube
Warning:
This operation must always be performed by adults.
The equipment must be disconnected from the power
supply during the tube change.
Steps:
1|
Ensure that the UVFlow equipment is switched off and with
the power cord disconnected from the mains.
2|
Place the equipment on a horizontal surface with the curved
front
(with the Terragene
®
logo)
facing upwards.
3|
Remove the six cross-type fixing screws located on both
sides of the curved front.
4|
Remove the curved front of the unit. Remember, it can only
be removed if the unit is switched off and disconnected from
the mains.
5|
Lightly pull the upper T8 socket and remove the germicidal
UVC tube to be replaced by holding it by the white head and
gently pulling it towards the lower socket.
6|
If both tubes blow, repeat Step 5 for the other germicidal
UVC tube.
7|
Fit the new germicidal UVC tube
(s)
by first locating the pins
in the lower socket and then the other pins by gently pulling
the upper socket.
8|
Fit the curved front.
9|
Insert the six fixing screws. Remember
never
to connect the
equipment to the power supply if the protective cover and its
fixing screws are not in place.
10|
Connect the equipment to the power supply and switch it
on to protect people from dangerous pathogens.

Packing inspection:
1|
Check the package and check that it is not damaged.
2|
Compare the parts with those listed on the receipt and the
shipping slip, and check that none is missing or damaged.
3|
Claim to the shipping company if there is a problem.
If the product was collected from a distributor, please
complain directly to the distributor.
Transportation and storage
Warning:
It is advisable to avoid brooms, vacuum cleaners,
or other equipments, as the mercury powder adheres easily
to any surface.
Warning:
Do not throw directly into the glass container or any
other recycling container. The bulbs should be taken to a clean
point or green point to be processed there with specialized
machines. Consult your local area.
Shelf life of the tubes:
Contact Terragene
®
or one of its representatives to purchase
a replacement lamp at the end of their useful life.
Handling and Lifting the UVFlow
Keep the unit in the same position in which it was shipped
from the factory.
Remove the indicated cover and use the natural displacement
of the product to remove it from its packaging.
Risk of crushing.
The unit and components may be heavy. Use
proper lifting methods and wear steel-toed shoes at all times.
Long-term storage
If the equipment is stored for more than six months, these
requirements should apply:
•Store the unit in a dry location.
•Store the unit in a cool place free from dirt and vibration.

Unit Inspection

Remove the packaging materials from the product. Dispose
of the packaging materials according to local regulations.
2|
Inspect the product for damaged or missing parts.
3|
If applicable, disassemble the product by removing screws,
bolts, or bands. For your safety, be careful when handling nails
and bands.
4|
If any damage is found, contact your sales representative.
