(12) Cautions for double Mechanical seal.
•
Prepare another pump for flushing liquid circulation, as flushing from the outside
is needed for a sealing surface by double mechanical seal specification.
•
Refer to materials list for the structure of a double mechanical seal.
•
Refer to a pump assembly drawing since the specification of flushing changes with
pump form.
•
As showed below, piping of flushing is connected to the flange part of double
mechanical seal. Do not mistake an inflow mouth (FI) and an outlet head (FO).
•
Use possible material in considering the maintenance of pipes.
•
Set up the gate valves and the flow controlling valve for maintenance in flushing
pipes.
•
Pressure, flow, muddiness of liquid circulation should can be checked suitably by
the system of flushing.
•
Not suitable flushing will cause poor lubrication of the sealing surface damage
or flushing liquid muddiness.
