There are three outcomes as the result of a ping:

In this case enter the appropriate IP address, using the
INSTL/IP Menu.
or
PING4 FAILED
PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE
In this case, check Layer 2 802.1Q and other
network settings.
or
PING4 SUCCESSFUL
