Non-regulated use
» The vehicle can lead to dangerous situations if it is used:
-
by insufficiently qualified/unqualified personnel,
-
inexpertly, or
-
in contravention of the instructions.
Who may operate the vehicle?
» Only qualified and designated persons over the age of 18 may operate the vehicle.
They should be aware of their responsibilities and take these into account.
» Persons under the influence of alcohol, medication and/or drugs may
not
operate, maintain
or repair the vehicle.
» Maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by qualified and authorized persons (see
section 1.2).
Converting and modifying the vehicle
» It is prohibited to modify the vehicle yourself.
» Only use original components, accessories and lubricants. These have been designed,
approved and released especially for the vehicle by Tennant N.V..
2.3.
Safety regulations for taking into use/starting
Before starting
» Ensure that you are familiar with:
-
the instrument panel,
-
the operating and steering elements,
-
the operation of the vehicle, and
-
the operational radius.
» Before boarding the vehicle, first check:
-
that no persons or obstacles are in the vicinity of the vehicle,
-
that the vehicle is free of oil-based or inflammable materials,
-
that the windows, handles, steps and operating areas are free of oil, grease, fuel,
refuse, snow and ice, and
-
that the protective shields are closed and locked.
» Only use the steps and handles intended for the purpose when boarding the vehicle.
» Before starting, check:
-
that there are no obvious defects to the vehicle,
-
that all protective shields and safety measures are in place,
-
that the steering wheel, brakes, operating controls, lighting and horn are functioning,
-
that the seat is adjusted properly,
-
that the mirrors are adjusted properly.
» Never start the vehicle if the instruments, warning lamps or steering mechanism are
defective in any way
» Do not place any loose objects in the vehicle or affix anything to the vehicle.
