TO REPLACE AIR FILTER ELEMENT

FOR SAFETY: Before Leaving Or

Servicing Machine: Stop On Level

Surface, Set The Parking Brake, Turn Off

Machine And Remove Key.

1. Open the engine cover and side door.

2. Unscrew the clamp ring on the filter.

3. Remove the dust cap.

4. Empty the dust cap.

5. Remove the filter wing nut.

6. Pull the filter element out of the filter

housing.

7. Clean the interior of the air cleaner housing

with a camp cloth. Clean the element

housing sealing surfaces.

8. Using an air hose, direct dry, clean air

maximum 205 kPa (30 psi) up and down

pleats on the inside of the filter. Do not rap,

tap, or pound dust out of the element.

FOR SAFETY: When Servicing Machine,

Wear Eye And Ear Protection When

Using Pressurized Air Or Water.

9. After cleaning the air filter element, inspect it

for damage by placing a bright light inside.

The slightest rupture requires replacement

of the filter. Clean and inspect the seals on

the ends of the element. They should be

unbroken and flexible. Remember to replace

the element after cleaning it three times.
