4. Use a arbor press to remove the fan shaft
and two bearings from the housing.
5. Use the arbor press to install the new
bearings into the housing.
NOTE: The short end of fan shaft is on the side of
housing with the thin flange. The long end of fan
shaft is on the side of the housing with the wide
flange.
NOTE: Make sure the bearings are pressed down
tight. The fan will be noisy if there is any play in
the bearings. The retaining rings must be tight to
the housing.
6. Reinstall the bearing housing onto the
bearing housing plate. The long end of the
shaft is on the side with the sound foam.
Reinstall the four hex screws and washers.
Tighten to 8 -- 10 Nm (6 -- 8 ft lb).
7. Reinstall the V--belt pulley on the short end
of the fan shaft. The recessed side of the
pulley goes to the inside . Hand tighten the
set screws tight.
