Satellite mode
The other purpose of your Sa® is to provide you with a fully automatic
satellite reception system.
When switching the system on by pressing , the system automatically switches
into satellite mode and will adjust itself to the preset satellite, unless a manually
selected satellite positioned was stored before the last shutdown of the system.
To switch from solar into satellite mode, all you need to do is to press .
If the system is already in satellite mode when you press , the system will
interpret this as a shutdown command. The retraction process can be interrupted by
pressing if required. The quickest way to aim the system to a satellite is to briefl y
switch into solar mode ( key) and to switch back immediately to satellite
mode ( key).
When you do not use the satellite mode of your Sa®, we recommend to
operate the system in solar mode ( key) to keep your onboard batteries char-
ged by an optimal orientation of the solar panel.
If one of the satellite mode-related menu items of the general menu is selected
in solar mode, the system automatically exits solar mode and switches to satellite
mode.
