7.5 Auto answer
Incoming calls can be answered automatically when you lift the handset
from the base station. If you wish to take calls by using the button
only, you can turn the auto answer function off.
1. Press the MENU button.

to select the
AUTO ANSWER
function
then press the MENU button.
4. Use p and q to select
ON
or
OFF
then press the MENU button.
You will now hear a confirmation tone.

7.6 Change handset name
During normal operation, the display shows “ TELKOM HS 1 ”. If you
have a number of handsets operating on the one base station, it might
be useful to give each handset its own name. The number that is used
to call the handset internally is displayed next to the handset name eg.
HS(Handset)1, HS2, HS3 etc.
The name can be up to 10 characters
long.
1. Press the MENU button.

MENU button.
3. Use the

and
q
buttons to select
AME
function then
press the MENU button .
4. Enter the desired name using the number buttons. By briefly
pressing the
CLR button single letters can be erased.
5. Press the MENU button to store the new name.
6. You can then select further menu functions or exit by holding
down the button.
