To send a text message via WhatsApp, when you are inside a chat and you have already
wrote down your message, you can either press the central navigation key to send the
message, or you can use the virtual mouse to select the green arrow icon ( ). To use the
central navigation key, you need to deactivate the virtual mouse first (if it's activated).
Type your message and just press central navigation key to send it. If you want to send a
voice message to one of your contacts, enter the chat that you have with that contact,
select the Microphone symbol with the virtual mouse. Press and hold the central
navigation key to record. Release the central navigation key only when your recording is
finished. Once you release the central navigation key, the voice message will be sent
automatically.
If you want to delete a chat, select it with the navigation key and long press on central
key (for 2 or 3 seconds). 3 icons will appear on the top of the screen:
Pin chat/Delete
chat/Mute notifications for this chat.
Use the navigation key and press central key to
select one of these options. Please note that "Mute notifications for this chat" option can
be selected only by using virtual mouse.
If you receive a picture from one of your contacts, it will be automatically registered in
Multimedia -> Gallery-> WhatsApp Images
folder.
When you receive a new WhatsApp message, an alert is displayed on the bottom of
the screen between the Network name and the Menu/Contact line, saying that you
have a "New Whatsapp message". A small WhatsApp icon will be also displayed on the
top of the screen, in the left corner. It will remain there until you will access Whatsapp
and check your new message. If your phone is closed and you have a new WhatsApp
message, the WhatsApp LED will blink until you will access WhatsApp to check your new
message.
6.8 To update WhatsApp version
1. Insert a SIM card and SD card and connect to wi-fi.
It is necessary to insert an operational SIM card.
2. Once the phone is turned on, you have to connect it to a Wi-Fi network. In order to do
that go to
Settings/Wi-fi/Activate Wi-Fi/Select the Wi-Fi network/Enter the password
(for more details please refer to 6.6 paragraph at page 19). If you want to verify that you
are connected correctly to Wi-fi, go to
Browser
menu and try to access a web page. If
web page is downloaded successfully, this means Wi-fi is working correctly.
3. Update Whatsapp
Go to WhatsApp and below you have to "
AGREE AND CONTINUE
" (check if the green
box is shaded, this means you have well selected the "
AGREE AND CONTINUE
" option).
The phone will display a message: "This version of WhatsApp expired xx/xx/20xx." You
have to go to the bottom of the screen and press
DOWNLOAD
, (wait until it is correctly
downloaded). NOTE both to "Agree and Continue" and to "Download" options can be
selected by using virtual mouse. In order to activate virtual mouse, please make a long
press on Key 5. Move the virtual mouse by using Left/Right/Up/Down keys and put it
over the options you want to select. Press central navigation key to access the desired
option. To remove the virtual mouse, press again for few seconds key 5.
If download is done correctly then the next message will be shown on the screen:
"
download in process
". Once the download is finished, the phone will ask if you want
to install the update to the existing application. Please select and press
Install
. Once the
update is installed, press
Done
to close the window or press
Open
to go to WhatsApp
directly.
Now when you will enter WhatsApp, it will ask you to insert your phone number in order
to access your account.
