Type
This is the method your ADSL service
provider uses to transmit data between
the Internet and your computer. Most
users use the default PPPoE/PPPoA
connection type. The Setup Wizard can
be used to configure a PPPoE/PPPoA
connection type. You may need to specify
one of the following connection types:
PPPoE LLC, PPPoA LLC and PPPoA
VC-MUX. Other available connections
and encapsulation combinations must be
configured by using the Web manager.
These include the Bridge Mode (1483
Bridged IP LLC or 1483 Bridged IP
VC-MUX), Static IP (Bridged IP LLC,
1483 Bridged IP VC-MUX, 1483 Routed
IP LLC, 1483 Routed IP VC-MUX or
IPoA), etc.
Username
This is the user name used to log in to the
network of your ADSL service provider. It
is usually in the form of [email protected].
Your ADSL service provider uses this to
identify your account.
Password
This is the password used, in conjunction
with the user name previously mentioned,
to log in to the network of your ADSL
service provider. It is used to verify the
identity of your account.
