Unable to enter Set-
up mode
Manual call answering enabled Call the device, press a button,
enter the Set-up mode, enter 03 1

The telephone used for remote
configuration does not send DTMF
dialling tones.
You need a telephone with DTMF di-
alling (= a telephone that can send
DTMF dialling tones) for remote
configuration. Certain network tele-
phones require pressing a button or
entering an activation code to send
DTMF dialling tones. For further
information, please contact your
telephone system administrator.
Wrong security code entered Upon entering a wrong security
code, the Behnke Series 5 Intercom
station will produce an error tone
and terminate the connection.
Enter the correct security code (de-
fault setting: 0 0 0 0). If the security
code has been changed and is no
longer available, please contact the
distributor of your device.
Impossible to enable remote con-
figuration due to audio feedback.
Enable remote configuration by
pressing the * key within two
seconds after the connection has
been established and stop audio
feedback, e.g. by reducing the
volume.
