2.2. Handset module 20-/21-1104-IP
The handset module (20/21-1104-IP) can only be operated with SIP intercom stations with software
version "BT 5 Build 101” or higher. Please note that electronics installations shall be carried out with
the device unplugged. Install the handset module IP (20-/21-1104-IP) as follows:
First remove the cover of the IP basic electronics. Make sure that the right basic electronics with
integrated AIF handset IP are available. Disconnect the device from the network (disconnect the
device from the power supply).
Connect the speaker (look for the speaker on
the cover panel with hookswitch) using the
ribbon cable of the basic electronics (blue ring).
Insert the hookswitch connection cable
(2-wire cable with 2-pole HPI socket) through
the electronics box gasket into the electronics
box. Connect the hookswitch's plug to the elec-
tronics add-on AIF handset with the reed relay
(position 4).
Reconnect the IP intercom to your network.
Please adhere to the respective network tech-
nology guidelines.
Start using your IP intercom.
(Manual is included with the IP intercom as well
as in the “help” function in the IP intercom’s
web front end)

Reversely insert the function module into the
front frame (see manual for the IP basic elec-
tronics) and then mount the module housing to
the front frame.
Cut the rubber gasket you find in the top part
of the device. Insert the handset connection
cable (4-wire cable with 4-pole connection
socket) through the electronics box rubber
gasket into the electronics box (position 2).
Connect the handset's plug to the elec-
tronics add-on AIF handset with the handset
(position 3).
