Accessing the BOOT menu from the console without using the RST button
It’s also possible to access the BOOT menu without using the RST button if you have access to the device’s local
console. Simply press any key via the console during the start up process when the following text appears: “*** Press
any key to stop auto run (x seconds) ***”, and before the indicated seconds run out. This way, the C.I.T. start up can-
cels and the device pauses in the BOOT prompt: “CFE>”. From this menu, you can access all the BOOT menu com-
mands. Below you can see an example of a C1+LS start up:

1.4.3 Procedure to force start up in BIOS mode
Follow the steps below if you want to force device start up in BIOS mode in order to access the BIOS menu (where
you can relicense or delete the configuration files and the rest of the commands).
• Turn off the device through the ON/OFF switch.
• Using a sharp object, press the RST pushbutton and hold it down.
• Turn on the device with the ON/OFF switch.
• Wait until the WLAN LED begins to flash (see
on page 16). Keep the RST pushbutton held down.
