Removal and Replacement Procedures

Fan Assembly

Remove the fan assembly by performing the following procedures. (See
Figure 13.)

1.

Remove the cover.

2.

Remove the two screws from the back center of the main chassis.

3.

Detach the fan cable from J11 on the backplane board.

4.

Lift the fan assembly away from the instrument.

5.

If you want to take the fan assembly apart, remove the four Phillips screws
that hold the fan to the fan bracket.

6.

If you need to replace the grommet (attached to the fan bracket), do so now.
