Removal and Replacement Procedures

From outside the instrument, remove the four T-10 screws securing the power
supply shield to the chassis.
6.
Lift the power supply out of the chassis.
7.
Disconnect the line
fi
lter cable from CN1 on the power supply.
8.
The power supply is secured to the shield by two screws and two posts.
Remove the two T-15 screws.
9.
Lift the power supply off of the two posts and out of the shield.
Fan Assembly
Remove the fans and baf
fl
e as a unit.
1.
Remove the two T-10 screws, one on each side of the instrument chassis,
that secure the baf
fl
e to the chassis.
2.
Use long nose pliers to compress the lock tab on the connector, and disconnect
the fan power cables from J11 (Fan #1) and J12 (Fan #2) on the Main board.
(See Figure 4-5 on page 4-29.)
3.
Lift the baf
fl
e out of the instrument.
Front Panel/LCD Assembly
Remove the front panel and LCD assembly as a unit. For additional clearance
you may remove the Fan assembly
fi
rst.
1.
Remove the six T-10 screws that secure the front panel assembly to the
chassis, two on each side and two on the bottom.
2.
Pull the front panel assembly forward, being careful of the Main board
extension containing the headphone and USB connectors, until they clear
the LCD bracket.
3.
Disconnect the cables connecting the Front panel/LCD assembly to the Main
board at J27, J31, and J21. (See Figure 4-5 on page 4-29.)
