TWT2284K/T:
- supply voltage: 230 V AC/DC (Note! Luminaire shall be connected to 230V AC/DC
emergency lighting central battery unit)
- light source: Fluorescent lamp 18W TC-E
Electrical and mechanical installation
Surface mounting:
Remove the diffuser. Open the intermediate plate. It can be left hanging
from the hinge. The luminaire can be fixed to the surface from the back. When the casing is
fixed to the surface, the supply cable can be taken inside the luminaire. Connect the supply
cable (max. 2x 3x max. 2,5mm2). Fix the intermediate plate and finally press the diffuser to
the casing of the lumianire. The luminaire must not be covered by thermally insulating
material.
Recessed mounting:
You can fix the luminaire right to the ceiling without minimum distance.
Diameter of the mounting aperture is ø255mm. Remove the diffuser. Open the intermediate
plate. It can be left hanging from the hinge. The luminaire can be fixed to the surface from the
back or if you use submersible installation plate, you should first screw the plate to the casing
bottom. Take supply cable inside the luminaire and connect the supply cable (max. 2x 3x
max. 2,5mm2). Then you can fix luminaire to the mounting aperture. Fix the intermediate plate
and finally press the diffuser to the casing of the lumianire. The luminaire must not be covered
by thermally insulating material.
TWT2282, TWT2283:
The luminaire can be connected as maintained or non-maintained as
follows (3 or 4 x max. 2,5mm2, non chainable):
1.
Maintained:
Connect the line supply to L and connect the L and L1 together.
2.
Maintained luminaire which can be controlled by light switch:
Connect the continuous line supply to L and the supply from the light switch to L1. With this
connection the luminaire can be switched on/off by the light switch in normal mode. When the
continuous supply fails, the light turns on regardless of the position of the light switch.
3.
Non-maintained:
Connect the continuous supply to L and leave the L1 open.
As standard the luminaire is fitted with a wire between the L and L1. This wire shall be
removed when the luminaire is connected as for point 2. or 3.
Connectors marked "T" are provided for external test switch. The switch shall be of opening
type and self-resetting. The switch shall be insulated and rated for 230V mains voltage.
Testing
The operation of the luminaire shall be verified according to the requirements of the
authorities. The battery mode duration of the self-contained types can be tested by, switching
off the mains supply voltage.
Periodical checks and maintenance
The fluorescent lamp of the luminaire must be changed when it is out of order. It is advisable
to make a group replacement of fluorescent lamps in the same location when 10% of the
lamps have reached the end of their lifetime. Outer surface of the luminaire must be cleaned
regularly.
In self contained units the battery shall be replaced when the specified duration time is not
achieved. In normal conditions the lifetime of the battery is min. 4 years.
