6.01 INSTALLING IDE DEVICES
6.01.1 TYPE OF HARD DISK SUPPORTED
The VIPer808 supports AT Integrated Disk Drives. The AT embedded drive architecture
incorporates drive electronics and controller circuitry on a single printed circuit board
which is mounted directly to the disk drive chassis.
The integration of drive and controller functions increases reliability and performance by
eliminating redundant circuitry, thus providing increased performance at reduced cost.
