7-10. Misoperation Alarm Indicators (only for heat pump models)
Alarm indicator lamps on the indoor unit indicate the error cause when the air conditioner fails to operate upon being switched
on. The possible alarm indications are given in Table 7-1. Fig. 7-11 shows the location of the alarm lamps on the indoor unit.

7-11. Wireless Remote Controller
Installation
The remote controller can be operated from either a non-
fixed position or a wall-mounted position.
To ensure that the air conditioner operates correctly, do not
install the remote controller in the following places:
• In direct sunlight.
• Behind a curtain or other place where it is covered.
• More than 8 m away from the air conditioner.
• In the path of the air conditioner’s airstream.
• Where it may become extremely hot or cold.
• Where it may be subject to electrical or magnetic
interference.

REMOVABLE MOUNTING
•
Heat pump models
Raise the rear plate of the remote controller mounting cradle
and insert the remote controller. The unit can be used either
in the that position (placed on a table, for instance) or held
in the hand. (Fig. 7-12).
•
Cooling only models
1)
Momentarily hold the remote controller at the desired
mounting position.
2)
Confirm that the air conditioner responds correctly when
you press keys on the remote controller from that
position.
3)
After confirming correct operation, use a screw-driver
to screw the supplied special mounting screw into the wall
(Fig. 7-13).
4)
Hang the remote controller from the mounting screw.
