Before removing any components, refer to “About SCSI Bus Termination” in this
appendix for termination information specific to your model number. If removal
is required, use a narrow, flat tool such as a flat-blade screwdriver (refer to
Figure 7) to gently pry each resistor pack up and out of its socket. Keep the
components for possible later use.

Removing Resistor Packs
To install a resistor pack, make sure pin 1 of the component (marked “1”) is lined
up with pin 1 on the board. To identify the location of pin 1 on the board, look for
a “1” or a rectangle with a rounded end. The “1” or the rounded end indicates pin
1’s location.
