Store the cartridge at moderate temperatures (between 40 and 115 degrees F).
•
If the cartridge has been stored at an extreme temperature, allow it to return to
room temperature before using.
•
Keep the cartridge away from magnetic sources.
•
Do not drop the cartridge.
•
Do not expose the cartridge to moisture or high humidity.
•
Do not place the cartridge in direct sunlight.
•
Do not touch the tape.
•
Do not force the cartridge when loading or ejecting it from the drive.
Write Protect
The cartridge has a write protect feature to prevent recording over existing data.
To invoke write protection, rotate the arrow on the write protect lock until it is in
the SAFE position (refer to Figure 3).

Loading a Cartridge
To load a cartridge into a drive that is mounted horizontally, hold the cartridge
with the metal base plate down and the tape door and write protect switch on the
left. To load a cartridge into a drive that is mounted vertically, hold the cartridge
