Version 1.0
12. Maintenance
Note!
Professional maintenance facilitates a trouble-free and efficient production flow.
Some of the detailed tasks are highly dependent on the level of use and ambient
conditions. Different maintenance cycles may be required in individual cases.
12.1. Maintenance schedule
Important!
Maintenance work may only be carried out if the machine has been
correspondingly secured. This means:
The master switch on the electrical switching cabinet must be positioned to 0
and the machine must be isolated from the compressed air supply.
After receiving suitable training, the operating personnel can undertake these tasks
autonomously in accordance with the following table and the intervals given.
Interval
Description / task
Daily or
always
before use
Check of all safety equipment for function and completeness.
Clean machine of coarse shavings. No not use compressed air for
this, rather, use a suitable extraction system.
Daily or
always after
use
Secure the machine against unauthorised usage (padlock)
Weekly, or
as required
Drain filter pressure-reducing-valve, to do so, isolate machine from
compressed air supply (semi-automatic draining) (see chapter 12.1.1)
Clean guide columns and lightly grease with commercially-available
grease.
Check the settings display by means of a test bore
Functional check of side guides, clean if necessary.
Monthly
Positional check of the insertion matrices
Annually
The multiflex has proven its durability in several fatigue tests.
However, in order to ensure many years of optional functionality, it is
recommended to have the machine serviced by an experienced
customer services engineer every 1 - 3 years, depending on duration
of use.
