7.11. DISASSEMBLING THE PEDALS AND THE PEDAL CRANKS

Carry out the procedure described in paragraph
7.6. “Disassembling the guards”.
1. Back off the screw
a using a 15-mm wrench
and remove the pedal.
During reassembly, lock down the
screws b using a torque wrench set for
35 Nm.

2. Remove the plastic caps b from both pedal
cranks.
3. Use a 14-mm socket wrench to back off the
screw underneath.

4. Use a bicycle pedal extractor tool like the one
shown in the figure to remove the two pedal
cranks.
To reassemble the pedals and the pedal cranks,
carry out the above steps in reverse order.
During reassembly, lock down the
screws b using a torque wrench set for
40 Nm.
