2.1 Pauses in the use of the device
Disconnect the device from the power supply and remove the aerial cable during storms or when the
device is not in use for a longer time (e.g. holidays).
Before disconnecting the device, switch it to the standby mode and wait until the timer is presented
on the screen or a red LED lights up.
2.2 Recycling instructions
The packaging of the device is composed of recyclable materials.
It should be sorted appropriately for reuse.
At the end of its service life, the product cannot be recycled with normal household waste.
It should be transported to the recycling centre for electrical and electronic devices, in compliance with
the symbol on the product, its packaging or instructions for use.
Materials should be recycled according to their designation.
By recycling materials, or other forms of reusing the devices, the user contributes to the protection of
the environment.
For information on the most appropriate recycling centre, contact local administrative bodies.
Used remote control batteries and electronic waste cannot be discarded together with household wa-
ste, but should be properly recycled (returned to the shop, put into special waste containers).
2.3 Important instructions for use
Use of the so-called “On Screen Display” (menu displayed on the screen) has made operation of the
receiver easier and reduced the number of buttons on the remote control.
All functions are displayed on the screen and can be controlled by means of several buttons.
Related functions are grouped in the “MENU”. The selected function is highlighted on the screen.
“Function keys” in the lower line are marked in colours: red, yellow, green and blue.
The colours in given menus correspond to di
ff
erent functions that are activated upon pressing the but-
ton with the appropriate colour (“multifunction key”) on the remote control.
The “function keys” are active only when their short name is displayed in a given box.
In these instructions for use, the symbols of buttons and commands displayed in the OSD menu are
highlighted in
bold
.
Help:
Whenever available, the help text can be activated and deactivated in given menus by pressing
the
blue
function key.
2.4 Important notice concerning data safety
Before returning the receiver to the after-sales service, remove all data storage media.
Data recovery is not included in the scope of service or repair activities.
TechniSat shall not be held liable for data loss or damage during repair of the device.
