CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET

NETWORK CONNECTION

An RJ45 socket is provided on the rear panel of the player

for  optional  connection  to  the  Internet  via  your  home

network.
This connection is not essential, but if you connect your

player to the Internet you can retrieve additional bonus

information  when  you  are  playing  a  Blu-ray  disc  that

features ‘BD-Live’. You can also check through the settings

menu if there are any updates for your player.
To make this connection your home network will require

an ‘always on’ connection to the Internet so you will need

access to a spare port on the network modem/router.
The  illustration  shows  the  connection  arrangements

found on a typical modem/router.

CAUTION:

Always

disconnect the player,

TV,  and  any  other  AV

system  components

from the mains before

making  or  changing

any connections.
