Setting the COM24 User Configuration Options
The information shown in
Figure 40
below is one of the subsections available on the
Advanced
Edit
page.

This section gives you the ability customize select features of the COM24 cards to better suit
your application. The cards actually support a few more features than shown here, but the two
most useful features have been made available here. You have the ability to change the
mechanism the cards use to obtain IP addresses and the ability to send log data to a PC or other
monitoring mechanism.
Following is a brief explanation of each field shown above.
CardIP
– This field represents the IP address of the COM24 card that you are currently
interacting with. The value is filled in automatically.
IP_Config
– This field allows for one of 9 methods of IP address assignments to be chosen.
When changing the value in this field, you must also enter a valid address in the “Base_IP” field
below, as the parameters are used to create a new IP address for the cards. The default setting is
0.
0 = Default
1 = DHCP_Persistent
2 = NA
3 = NA
