Installation positions
•
horizontal, vertical, at an angle
•
rotated up to 45° upwards to the pipe axle
•
rotated up to 90° downwards to the pipe axle
•
Only install electronics housing upwards if high operating pressure and automatic
ventilators are used.
•
When installed in damp conditions, the meter must be installed rotated 45° to the pipe
axle
!
If possible, use the same installation method within one property!
•
We recommend using a strainer in front of the volume measuring section.
•
Shut-off valves must be installed in front of the strainer and behind the heat meter.
•
Rinse the conduit with the replacement pipe section thoroughly before installing the
meter.
•
If replacing a meter, be sure to clean the sealing surfaces of the screw joint connector.
Use new seals.
•
Open the shut-off devices and check their leak-tightness.
•
Ensure that the ends of the sensors reach at least the middle of the pipe cross-section.
•
After installation, test for leaks and perform a function check.
•
Document commissioning.
Computer unit installation
The computer unit must be accessible at all times and readable without further aids.
Compact installation (standard)
Installation directly on the volume measuring section. The computer unit is sealed ex-
works.
Wall-mounting
Required for: Medium temperature < 15 C / > 90°C, • restricted readability
1
Choose a dry, easily accessible place.
2
Observe the cable lengths of the temperature sensors.
3
Install the computer unit on the wall with the enclosed fixing materials.
Installing the temperature sensors
!
Temperature sensors must only be installed as they have been delivered.
The cables must neither be shortened nor extended.
•
The temperature sensor type (Pt 500) must agree with the specifications on the name
plate of the computer unit.
•
Do not lay the temperature sensor cable near (min. 300 mm) cable ducts or channels.
•
The temperature sensors can be installed in special ball valves or immersion pockets
which are authorised for this type of sensor. – Observe the national regulations.
•
Ensure symmetrical installation of the temperature sensors
1
Remove the pressure from the sensor installation location.
2
Unscrew the closing screw from the special ball valve.
3
Place the enclosed O-ring on the assembly pin. Only use one O-Ring.
When replacing sensors, replace the old O-ring with a new one.
