5.3 Installing the child safety seat (Group 2/3: 15-36 kg)
Installation method no.1: vehicle’s 3 -point safety belt
For children weighing from 15 to 36 kg, FORWARD-FACING installation.
(Please refer to point 5.4: ‘Removing the harness and the buckle’)
Step 1: First of all, adjust the child safety seat in its most vertical position, then place it on
the rear seat of your vehicle.
Step 2: Place your child in the child safety seat, use the vehicle’s 3 -point safety belt to
secure the child seat and your child. Make sure the vehicle’s seatbel t is well tightened and
that it is not twisted.
Installation method no.2: vehicle’s 3 -point safety belt
For children weighing from 15 to 36 kg, FORWARD-FACING installation.
(Please refer to point 5.4: ‘Removing the harness and the buckle’)
Step 1: First of all, adjust the child safety seat in its most vertical position, then place it on
the rear seat of your vehicle.
Step 2: Use the ISOFIX clips to fasten the child safety seat into place. Make sure that they
are properly locked, the indicators fo r each clip should be green, then use the vehicle’s 3 -
point safety belt to secure the child seat and your child. Make sure the vehicle’s seatbelt is
well tightened and that it is not twisted.
5.4 Removing the harness and the buckle
Step 1: Detach the straps from the connecting buckle of the shoulder cushions, as indicated
in illustration 1, then remove the shoulder straps as indicated in illustration 2, 3 and 4.
Step 2: As shown in illustration 8 on the next page, first adjust the child safety seat to the
fully inclined position, then remove the plastic cover next to the inclination adjustment lever.
Next, as shown in illustration 7, pass the small metallic plate through the slot in the seat’s
shell and remove it from the harness. As shown in illustrations 5 and 6, remove the sheaths
and buckle clips and tidy the shoulder straps underneath the safety seat cover. Store all the
elements removed in a safe place.
