5.2 Best Possible Connections
The capabilities of your existing equipment, especially your TV, will determine your connection
possibilities. However, the following guidelines describe which options provide the best picture
and sound quality.
Component-YPbPr
(red green blue cable) provides best possible picture quality.
S-Video
provides excellent picture quality.
Composite Video
(a yellow video jack) provides good picture quality.
S/P DIF (coaxial)
connection provides the clearest sound. Connect it to your Hi-Fi system
for the best sound quality.
6. First Time Install
When all the connections have been made properly, turn on your TV and switch the TV to the
input that the unit is connected to. If the unit is turn on for the first time, it is recommended to run
the initial install first. Use the remote controller to finish the installation.

When the unit is turn on, “TEAC” logo will be displayed on the screen as shown in Fig6-1.
Consequently, the “Initial Install” menu will be displayed on screen as shown in Fig6-2.
Press LEFT/RIGHT key to choose the OSD language and area. The default language is
English and the default area is Australia.
