6. Contour Blades (see Figure 44)
DANGER
The Contour Blades are extremely sharp and should be handled with caution.
a. To change the Contour Blades:
(1) Bring the mandrel forward by pressing the tooling change button on the production screen.
The machine will retract the wire clamp and cable sensor and move the mandrel to its most
forward (outward) position.
(2) Power the machine OFF.
LOTO procedure must be used to perform tooling changeover.
(3) Perform LOTO of the machine.
(4) Using a 3mm hex-head wrench, loosen the M4 socket head cap screw while holding the
Cutting Arm in place to prevent rotation.
NOTE
Do not remove the screw.
(5) Tilt the blade and remove it from the face of the Cutting Arm.
(6) Place a new blade over the fixed pin and tighten the screw securely.
(7) Repeat for all 3 blades.
(8) If only changing contour blades, remove tooling change tool.

7. Cutting Wheels (see Figure 45)
a. To change the Cutting Wheels:
(1) Bring the mandrel forward by pressing the tooling change button on the UI screen. The
machine will retract the wire clamp and cable sensor, and move the mandrel to its most
forward (outward) position.
(2) Power the machine OFF.
LOTO procedure must be used to perform tooling changeover.
(3) Perform LOTO of the machine.
(4) Using a 3mm hex-head wrench, remove the (2) socket head cap screws holding the Cutting
Arm Cap in place.
(5) Remove the Cutting Wheel Assembly, taking note of the wheel orientation and being careful
not to lose the (2) Shim Rings.
(6) Place the new Cutting Wheel Assembly in the correct orientation onto the Cutting Arm Cap
with (1) Shim Ring on either side of the Cutting Wheel Assembly.
