Filling the UTC Tray 

The UTC tray is used for packaging medications that are not 
assigned to a tablet canister. It can be used to combine 
medications with tablet canister medications for multi-dose 
packaging. It can only be used for tablet or capsule oral solids.  

[Step 1] 

Issue a UTC unlocks instruction from the software or press the 
TRAYOPEN button to open the UTC tray. It will also open when a 

“

UTC replenish alarm

”

 is displayed as the UTC starts dispensing 

medications. 

[Step 2] 

Fill the UTC tray with medications. The numbers in the UTC tray 
indicate the order of the medications. Each cell is provided with 
a light to assist in manual packaging. Use light indication and the 
number labels to assist with manual packaging. 

[Step 3] 

The UTC has two sides. As seen from the front, there are 32 
cells on the left side and 32 cells on the right side (the cell at the 
left most side is cell number 1).

 

[Step 4] 

When the tray is filled, close the UTC tray and press the resume 
button in the software to start packaging.

 

[Step 5] 

When the UTC tray has packaged 64 cells, the 

“

UTC 

Replenish alarm

”

 occurs and operation stops. Refill the next tray 

following the steps above. 

 

 

Note: Do not expose the UTC tray to force or try to turn it around. Doing so will result in a malfunction.
