Ethernet Options: Rate Limit
The TC8518's Ethernet Rate Limit feature allows the Network Administrator to
regulate the bandwidth of each of the 3 Ethernet ports.
Transmitting and Receiving are separated to allow for extreme flexibility. The port
rate limits can be set in increments of 32Kbps. If the Network Administrator enters a
value that is not a multiple of 32, the TC8518 will automatically round to the nearest
multiple of 32. For example, if you enter a limit of 100Kbps, then the TC8518 will
automatically convert the 100Kbps into 128Kbps.
If you do not want any rate limit imposed on a port, enter '0' for that port's "Norm.
Tx Limit" or "Normal Rx Limit" and click "Apply".
