Spektrum Satellite install
Using a Spektrum Satellite as a receiver makes for a very compact and neat install.

Binding the satellite to the transmitter
1.
Connect the satellite to a regular Spektrum R/C receiver, as you normally would
2.
On the radio, hold the roller button (DX8, DX9) while turn on the Tx to reach “System Setup”
3.
Now scroll through and set “Frame Rate” to “22ms/DSMX” (DX8, DX9)
4.
On the receiver, insert the bind-plug and apply power - LED on the receiver will be flashing
5.
Power on the radio while holding the trainer button (DX8) or back button (DX7), or go into the
“System Setup” and initiate “Bind” (DX9)
6.
Within a few seconds the LED on the receiver will go solid indicating connection
7.
The receiver and satellite is now bound to the transmitter and the satellite is ready to be installed
Prepare connection cable
The finished cable should look like the photo below. Lift the plastic tab with a precision knife to remove the
red wire pin move it to position 2 and solder the corresponding wires for the satellite. 3.3V power is provided
by the COLIBRI controller.
