MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
lncorrect maintenance may result in serious bodily injury or death. Only an au-
thorized service center is allowed to perform maintenance on this hoist.
WARNING!
After performing any maintenance on the hoist, always test the hoist according
to this manual before returning to service.
CAUTION!

Always take care hand or clothes will not be caught in a chain, idle sheave or other mov-
ing parts.

Never operate the hoist during maintenance.
-
Always inspect all the items if you have abnormal difficulty in lifting and lowering.
-
Never perform maintenance on the hoist while it is supporting a load.
Maintenance procedures

Clean the chain block after operation and keep it in a dry place to prevent rust and cor-
rosion.
-
Maintain the chain block annually by cleaning the parts and applying grease afterwards.
The cleaning should be done by a professional.

After cleaning and repairing, the chain block should be subjected to non-load and heavy
load tests. If it works normally, it can be put into operation.

Keep the friction surfaces of the brake mechanism clean while lubricating or operating
the chain block. Inspect the brake mechanism frequently in order to avoid faulty braking
or falling of load.
Lubrication
CAUTION!
-
Lubricate load chain weekly, or more frequently, depending on severity of service.
-
Lubricate load chain more frequently than normal in a corrosive environment.
Make sure to lubricate load chain, hook latches, top/bottom hook pin and hook yoke, etc.
Load chain is one of the important parts of a hoist; it should be lubricated well with machine
oil.
Note:
Recommended lubricant of this product is lithic grease #3.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING!
Any disassembly or repair of the lever hoist should be performed by an author-
ized service center.
Problem Cause

Hoist will not lift

Pawl not engaging ratchet
disc; possible dirt or foreign
material.

Pawl spring is damaged.

Ratchet spring is loose or
damaged.

Clean and lubricate pawl and
ratchet disc assemblies.

Contact an authorized service
center or qualified inspector for
disassembling and replacing the
pawl spring.

Contact an authorized service
center or qualified inspector for
tightening or replacing the
ratchet spring.
