PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
-
This hoist has been designed for vertically lifting and lowering loads, by hand, under nor-
mal atmospheric conditions of the work place. However, since dealing with heavy loads
may involve unexpected danger, all the Safety Rules must be followed.
-
The lever block is a portable lifting device easily operated with a hand lever. It is suitable
for factories, mines, farms, construction sites, wharves, docks and warehouses for instal-
lation of equipment as well as for loading and unloading of goods. It is especially advan-
tageous for lifting work in open air grounds and places where no power supply is availa-
ble.
OPERATION
NOTE! Check carefully the hooks, chains, brake mechanism and proper lubrica-
tion of the lever block before each use.
Always follow the below instructions to ensure safe working:
1.
The operator must have a clear and unobstructed view of the entire travel area before
operating the hoist. When not possible, a second or more persons must serve as scouts in
the nearby area.
2.
The operator must check the entire travel area is safe and secure before operating the
hoist.
3.
Judge the weight of the load being lifted and ensure that the weight is not over the rated
capacity. Never overload the chain block.
4.
Carefully check all the parts of the device (such as a hook, lifting chain, brakes, etc.), and
lubrication. Chain block can be put to operation when it is found in good condition.
5.
Check the hooks before lifting. Check that they are securely attached. It is prohibited to
have the hooks in an inclined position or the weight of the load on the tip of the hook. For
perfect performance of the chain block the chain should be kept vertically straight with-
out kinks or knots.
6.
During operation, the operator should stand level to the load.
7.
For the sake of safety passing or working under the lift is strictly prohibited.
Features
Place the selector switch on the handle in the middle position when without load, then the
load chain could move freely. Pull the load chain by hand to position the bottom hook.
The method of operation
1.
Place the selector switch on the handle in the middle position.
2.
Then adjust the load chain to suitable position.
WARNING!
NEVER pull the load chain sharply when the selector switch is in the middle po-
sition. If the chain is pulled too suddenly, the brake may set preventing further pulling. Re-set
of the hoist is needed when this happens.
