PROBLEM
PROBABLE CAUSE

Thermocouple X Open
Internal component failure.
Call for service.
Thermocouple X Shorted
3 phase cord has become
unplugged from the wall.
Reseat the 3 phase plug.
If the problem still remains, internal
component failure
Call for service.
The grill is making loud whistling
noise when cooking product with
egg ring.
The egg ring is dirty and causing
steam to escape.
Clean the egg ring.

The product is undercooked or
over cooked.
The release material is dirty or
worn.
Clean and/or replace the release
sheets.
The upper platen or lower cook
surface are not clean or have
carbon buildup.
Cleaning procedures must be
followed tp properly clean the grill
and remove carbon buildup.
Incorrect cook time
Increase or decrease the cook time
accordingly. Refer to Pg cook time
adjustment procedure.
The grill's gaps have come out of
specification.
Refer to Pg “Gap Validation and
Calibration”.
The product is not cooking evenly.
The upper platen or lower cook
surface are not clean or have
carbon buildup.
Cleaning procedures must be
followed tp properly clean the grill
and remove carbon buildup.
The release sheet material is dirty
or worn.
Clean and/or replace the release
sheets.
The grill's gaps have come out of
specification.
Refer to Pg. 22 “Gap Validation
and Calibration”.
Eggs are pooling to one side of the
egg ring.
The grill has become unlevel.
Re-level the grill.
The grill's gaps have come out of
specification.
Refer to Pg “Gap Validation and
Calibration”.
The grill displays: “Lower Plate
Stall” and platen comes up.
The product being cooked is
mis-shaped or out of specification.
Press the “Standby” button again.
The product will flatten as it thaws.
The wrong recipe was selected to
cook.
Review and select the correct
recipe item. Restart the cook cycle.
The product is not recognized.
Carbon buildup on the upper
and/or lower cook surfaces is
interfering with the Auto Gap
settings.
Remove the carbon and clean the
upper and lower cook surfaces.
The grill plate has become uneven.

Calibration”.
The wrong product is being used.
Ensure correct product and
settings.
The grill is not set in the Auto
Product Recognition mode.
Ensure the grill control is set to
Auto.
