OPERATIONS - Important PoInts
- Tighten nuts and bolts after the first day of service, as well as verify the conditions
of all pins and cotter pins. Then tighten at every 24 hours of service.
- Special attention should be given to the disc gangs, tightening daily during
the first week of use. Thereafter, tighten periodically.
- Observe with attention the lubrication intervals.
- Only work the harrow with tractor of appropriate size.
- Choose a speed that allows the tractor to maintain certain power reservation,
being guaranteed against unexpected efforts.
- Speed is relative to the tractor gear engagement and it can only be
determined by the local conditions. We adopted an average of 5,0 to 7,0 km (3.1 to
4.4 miles) per hour, which is not advisable to exceed maintaining the job efficiency
and avoiding possible damages to the harrows.
- During the harrowing (with the discs deeped in the soil) do not make turns to
the right, because the angle formed by the disc gangs will transmit great effort to
the implement, overloading mainly the pulling components.
- Remove stick pieces or any object that is stuck into the discs.
- Relieve the control valve pressure before disconnecting the quick couplers
and when doing any verification in the hydraulic cylinder.
- As previously mentioned, the TATU disc harrow GCRO model possess several
adjustments, even so, only the local conditions can determine their best final
adjustments.
