• Retighten nuts and bolts after the first day of service and check the conditions
of all pins and cotter pins. Then, retighten every 24 operating hours.
• Special attention should be given to the disc gangs, retightening daily during
the first week of use. Then, retighten periodically.
• Carefully observe the lubrication intervals. (See lubrication instructions on
pages 26 and 27).
• During working or transportation, the presence of passengers on the tractor
or equipment is not allowed.
• The correct inflation is important and it should be the same on both tires.
(40
PSI).
• Choose a gear that allows the tractor to maintain certain power reserve,
ensuring against unforeseen efforts.
• The work speed is relative to the tractor gear and can only be determined by
local conditions. We adopted an average 7 to 9 km/h, which is not advisable
to overcome to maintain service efficiency and avoid possible damages to
the equipment.
• Before maneuvering at the end of the lines, activate the hydraulic cylinder
gradually, thus lifting the disc gangs.
• While harrowing (with the disc blades into the ground), do not maneuver to
the left, because the angle formed by the disc gangs transmit great effort to
the equipment and overload mainly the drawbar components.
• Remove pieces of wood or any object that may attach in the disc blades.
• The traction bar must remain fixed during working and transportation.
• Never use your bare hands to check hydraulic leaks, the high pressure can
cause several injuries. Use cardboard or other suitable object.
• Relieve the control valve pressure before disconnecting the quick couplers
and when doing any verification in the hydraulic cylinder.
• As previously mentioned the GNLCR harrow has several settings. However,
only the local conditions can determine the best adjustment thereof.
