If the harrow is equipped with
hydraulic cylinder to open or close the
gangs, carefully read the text below:
Caution! Hydraulic oil leakage may
be strong enough to penetrate the skin and cause
serious injuries to health. Oil leakage through
a tiny hole may seem invisible. Use a piece of
cardboard or wood instead of your hand to check
a possible leakage.
Keep unprotected parts of the body, such as
your face, eyes and arms as far as possible from a
suspected leak. A splash of hydraulic oil can even
cause gangrene or other maladies.
In case of such kind of accidents or any
other, consult a doctor immediately. If such doctor
does not possess proper knowledge of this kind
of problem, ask for a referral or search to find the
proper treatment.
• In disuse period wash the harrow, repair the missing painting and protect the disc
blades with oil; lubricate all grease fittings and store the harrow in a covered and dry
location, avoiding contact with the soil.
• The disc blades should be replaced as soon as you notice a low-income,
characterized mainly by the reduction in diameter, cut loss and other damages to which
they are subjected during working.
• Make sure all moving parts have no wear. If necessary, replace them properly.
• Replace the missing or damaged safety stickers. Marchesan provides stickers, upon
request and indication of the respective serial number. The operator must know the need
to keep these stickers in place and in good conditions. Also, the operator must be aware
that an accident can occur if the instructions are not followed.
