Adjustments and operations
The following instructions must be carefully observed to get the best working
performance.
Tractor preparation
The addition of ballast water in the tires and a set of weights on the front part and
rear wheels of the tractor are the most used ways to increase the soil traction and give
greater stability to the tractor.
Harrow preparation
Check the condition of all parts and retighten nuts and bolts, especially the ones from
the disc gangs. If the gangs work loose, they may damage the axle and other components.
Lubricate all grease fittings appropriately. (See lubrication instructions on pages 32
and 33).
Hitching to the tractor
Couple the drawbar to the traction bar of the tractor using a pin (A) and cotter pin.
The traction bar of the tractor usually oscillates during working. If it is necessary to keep
it locked, let it in the same position that the harrow will provide during working.
If the harrow is equipped with hydraulic cylinder, it is necessary to shut down the
tractor engine, relieve the control valve pressure and check if the quick couplers are clean
in order to couple the hoses.

The lower hydraulic arms must remain adjusted during transportation.
