Air Circulation- Fresh switch
NOTICE
Once temperature inside has come down sufficiently, close the
windows and change air circulation suitably to fresh/recirculation.
Demisting :
In rainy season or in areas of high humidity, mist formation inside
windshield glass is observed. To clear mist dehumidified air is
passed on the windshield glass.
The position of control knobs should be adjusted as follows :
A.C.
- ON
Knob 'B'
- Desired speed position
Knob 'C'
- Towards windshield
Knob 'A' (for vehicles fitted with HVAC) - at suitable temperature
Air circulation - at suitable position
When mist gets cleared switch the knob "C' position to Face
mode. In high humidity areas, if cold air continues to flow over
windshield, it may cause sudden fogging on outside surface of
windshield.
Defrosting :
(For vehicles fitted with HVAC unit)
In low temperature areas, to clear frost formation outside the
windshield glass, this setting is used.
First start the engine and accelerate to warm up.

HEATING,VENTILATION & AIR-CONDITIONING
Precaution while using the air conditioner during long distance
driving
When long distance driving is done at high speeds, the compressor
rpm is high and thus the cooling becomes high. Additionally if
thermostat is set to maximum cool position, icing occurs on the
evaporator due to overcooling. This icing reduces air flow and the
cooling becomes poor. Thus it is recommended to have such driving
at maximum air flow and low temperature setting of the
thermostat.
Maximum Cooling Effect :
Switch ‘ON’ the A.C. Keep the blower at maximum speed. All vents
should be opened completely. Keep the temperature control switch
in the maximum cooling (Blue) position. At maximum cooling A.C.

Cleaning the condenser
Condenser and radiator must be kept free of dust and foreign
matters. They must be cleaned. Direct the tap water on the
condenser installed at the front of the radiator to wash off any dirt or
mud stuck to the condenser. If there is excessive dirt,
use a soft
haired brush
while applying water.
A hard haired brush may
damage or bend the fins.
Straighten any crushed fins with a screw
driver.
Check for any abnormal noise from compressor
In case of noise tighten compressor mounting bracket bolts. If noise
is not rectifiable then contact authorised service outlet.
Check and rectify belt tension as per procedure for fan belt.
Exercise caution that refrigerant does not enter the eyes or come
into contact with skin. It is harmful to the eyes and skin.
This vehicle is provided with an over temperature cut-off system
