Use window winder handle for lowering or
raising up window glasses manually where
power windows are not provided.
Opening the Bonnet
Make sure that the engine is switched 1.
off and vehicle is in neutral gear with
the parking brake applied.
Pull the bonnet release lever. The bon-

Lift the bonnet slightly and with your 3.
finger and slide the secondary lock
lever located under the center of the
bonnet.
Lift the bonnet up. Pull the bonnet stay 4.
rod from its clip and put the free end
into the slot provided on frame.
NOTE
Make sure that the wiper arms are not
raised before you lift up the bonnet to
avoid damaging the wiper arms and the
bonnet.
WARNING
The stay rod can be hot enough to •
burn your finger right after driving.
Touch the rod after it becomes cool
enough.
Put the stay rod into the hole cor-

rectly. If the rod drops off, your body
