Please read parts 1 and 2 of these
manuals carefully before using the
product and keep them for future
reference. Pass them on to all users.
Intended use
This appliance is designed for the
preparation of small amounts of coffee
for domestic use or for use in household-
like, non-commercial environments.
Household-like environments include,
for example, use in staff areas in shops,
offices, agricultural and other small
businesses, as well as use by guests at
bed-and-breakfast establishments, small
hotels and similar residential facilities.
Do not allow persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, to use this appliance, unless
they are being supervised or have been
given instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Keep out of reach of children. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
For optimum results, fill the tank only
with cool, fresh, non-carbonated water
each day.
Do not use chemically softened water.
Ambient conditions
Only use the appliance indoors at room
temperature and up to 2000 m above sea
level.
In order to avoid serious harm, never
place the appliance on or beside hot
surfaces such as radiators, hotplates,
gas cookers, open flames, etc. Place the
machine on a sturdy, horizontal surface.
Power connection
Only connect the appliance to a suitable,
earthed mains socket. Operate and con-
nect the appliance only in accordance
with the instructions given on the name-
plate. Incorrectly connecting the appli-
ance invalidates the guarantee.
Do not pull the power cable across sharp
edges. Fix it into place or let it hang.
Keep the cable away from heat and
moisture.
Only use your TASSIMO appliance if the
power cable and appliance show no signs
of damage.
When disconnecting the appliance from
the mains, pull the plug and not the
cable. Otherwise, you risk damaging the
cable. Never touch the cable with wet
hands.
Do not open the appliance.
Inside: Dangerous voltage!
Do not insert objects into any of the
appliance openings. Otherwise, you risk
starting a fire or being electrocuted.
Saving energy
You should switch off your TASSIMO
appliance completely after every use in
order to save energy.
Repairs
Disconnect the appliance from the mains
as soon as a fault is detected.
Any repairs, such as replacing a damaged
power cable, may only be carried out by
our Customer Services team in order to
avoid potential danger.
