General Instructions
Servicing: Hose Reel
Note: Release line pressure,
disconnect fluid supply and release
spring tension before attempting
any maintenance of reel.
Spring Tension Adjustment
1. Disconnect inlet hose.
2. Pull out approximately 2m (6 ft.) of
hose and latch the drum.
3.
Add
one wrap (or coil) of hose
around the drum to
increase
the
tension;
remove
one wrap to
decrease
the tension.
4. Unlatch the drum and check
tension. Reconnect inlet hose.
Swivel Seat Replacement
1. Remove inlet hose
from swivel.
2. Remove swivel from reel by
unscrewing from shaft. Disconnect
hose from swivel.
3. Remove circlip from swivel, pull
the shaft out from the body.
4. Replace the seals and reassemble
swivel.
5. Attach the hose to the swivel, then
attach swivel to the reel. Do not
over-tighten.
Spring Canister Adjustment
1. Pull out approximately 1m (3 ft.) of
hose and latch the reel.
2. Remove the outlet nozzle, gun or
tool and hose stopper
3.
Carefully
unlatch the reel and
firmly hold
the drum. Allow the drum
to slowly unwind until it stops.
4. Remove the swivel, circlip and
spacer.
5. Remove the two or four nuts
located on the support post side,
inside the drum cavity.
Do not
attempt to remove the nuts on spring
canister.
6. Pull spring canister off the drum
shaft.
7. Reverse the above procedure and
reassemble.
8. Retension the reel by turning the
drum three complete turns clockwise
(from swivel side) and latch the drum.
9. Feed hose
through the hose guide,
attach hose stopper, then unlatch the
drum. The hose stopper should fit
firmly against the hose guide.
Hose Replacement
1. Securely stabilize no.

2. Pull out all the hose and lock the
no.
11
in that position.
CAUTION: Make sure no.
11
is
securely locked and will not rotate.
3. Remove the hose clamps from the
hose.
4. Carefully disconnect the hose from
the swivel and remove.
5. Remove the hose guard and hose
stopper from the old hose and attach
these parts to new hose in the same
position.
6. Insert the male fitted end of the
hose through the four roller guide
arms and through the cut-out in the
side of the drum flange.
