2.1. Digital operation
The locomotive decoder is a multiple protocol decoder, that can operate with and
automatically recognise both DCC or Motorola formats.

This procedure makes it possible to transmit speed, direction and function commands
combined in a single command instead of individually in several commands. This significantly
reduces the transmission time for the commands to the vehicle decoders, which has a
positive effect especially when using decoders with many functions.
Prerequisites for the use is the use of a digital control centre that supports this procedure
and the setting of the speed step mode 28 / 128 on the decoder.
