7.2. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
The machine does not react to
the main control handle or other
control handle commands.
The power cable is not connected.
Connect the cable to the tractor
outlet.
The power cable is connected
however, there is no voltage on
the socket or the polarity of the
socket is incorrect.
Switch on the tractor lights, check
the fuses (inside the machine’s and
tractor’s distribution board) and the
polarity.
The RESET button was not engaged.
Before every start-up or after
opening the protection cover push
the RESET button to restore all the
machine functions.
The electrical system is not switched
on.
Press the start/stop switch for
switching the el. system on and off.
Excessive machine vibrations.
Improper tractor and machine
position is causing vibrations of
the PTO shaft.
Reconnect the tractor and
the machine according to the
instructions.
Worn out PTO shaft.
Check and replace the PTO shaft, if
necessary.
Overheating of the machine.
Low level of the oil.
Top with oil of suitable quality.
Spent hydraulic oil.
Check the oil quality and replace the
oil, if necessary.
The oil filter is clogged and the
filter gauge is in the red zone
when the oil is warm.
Replace the oil filter cartridge.
The PTO shaft rotational speed is
too high resulting in increased flow
and loss, which causes the heating
of the oil.
Verify that the PTO shaft rotational
speed is between 400 and 430 RPM.
The splitting cylinder cannot fully
return to the home position due
to the excessive accumulation of
sawdust and wood particles behind
the cylinder. This is also indicated by
increased pressure when idling.
Lift the splitting cylinder cover and
clean the wood residues. Afterwards
regularly clean the area under the
machine.
Overheating and loss of splitting
force can result leakage inside the
splitting cylinder.
Service may be required.
The machine is loud.
The PTO shaft rotational speed is too
high.
Verify that the PTO shaft rotational
speed is between 400 to 430 min-¹.
Low level of the multiplication gear
oil.
Check the oil level and top it, if
necessary.
The PTO shaft with an in-built clutch
is loud.
We advise against using PTO shafts
with clutches, since they can damage
the drive parts. Use the regular PTO
shaft or PTO shaft with two wide
angle joints.
Improper positioning of the tractor
and machine is causing vibrations.
Reconnect the tractor and
the machine according to the
instructions.
The PTO shaft is not lubricated.
Lubricate the PTO shaft in accordance
with the instructions.
