Feature Authorization (Route: FEAT, 1)
This display-only parameter displays the maximum number of entities that are
authorized for use with this Coral system. If the number of units to be installed exceeds
the number authorized, contact your manufacturer’s representative to increase the
number of authorized Sentinels in the system.
6-KEYSETS_IP
- for Coral versions 14
9-SENTINEL
- for Coral versions 15 or higher
For Version 14 Coral systems, the SENTINEL line is not available. In such
systems, the number of Sentinel Pro units is included in the maximum
number of KEYSETS_IP.
Size Definition (Route: SIZ)
The system database allocates resources to manage the operation of a Sentinel Pro
based on the value entered in the KEYSETS_IP field. Ensure that in this field, the
maximum number of IP keysets plus Sentinels to be used in the system is defined.
If insufficient resources have been allocated in Sizes, the entry must be increased or
the Sentinel Pro units will not operate. For more information, see
Chapter 4, Size
Definition
of the
Program Interface Reference Manual

KEYSETS_IP
Assigning a Dial Number (Route: NPL)
Generally, Sentinels are identified by their index number rather than by a dial number.
Sentinels are not called as are phone terminals, and therefore do not need a dial
number.
To save IP port resources, it is recommended
not
to assign a dial number to a
Sentinel Pro. However, if ports are abundant, assigning a dial number may be
advantageous since it enables the technician to include the Sentinel in the
PORTS_LIST (PLIS).
Modifying the System Sizes initializes the entire system database, and requires the
re-entry of all database information.
