Motherboard Description
The only feature that distinguishes the main cage from the expansion cage is the
motherboard. The motherboard of the main cage includes the eight peripheral card
connections and one control card connection, the Resources connection, the Expansion
connection, service card components, and the configuration jumpers.

The configuration jumpers of the main cage:
Configure the main cage to house the primary and/or secondary synchronization
card.
Designate whether the system uses internal or external music
Activate and deactivate the Receive and Transmit function of the modem
Designate the "handshaking" protocol of the serial RS-232 interface.
