Problems and aids for self-troubleshooting
If your Speedport OptoLAN does not react as expected, first try to solve
the problem yourself using the following table.
Problem
Possible cause
Remedy
The optical LED does
not light up or blink.
The POF cable is not
connected correctly.
The POF cable is bent
or damaged in some
other way.
The Speedport Opto-
LAN power supply is
not connected cor-
rectly.
Connect the POF
cable as described in
the installation
instructions,
see page 7.
Check the POF cable.
Remove any bends
or, if necessary,
replace the POF
cable. Contact Cus-
tomer Service if the
POF cable is irrepara-
bly damaged
(see page 11).
Connect the power
supply correctly.
